Changing Unix Remote Password Changing to use SSH instead of Telnet

Version 4.3 of Secret Server implemented functionality to use SSH as an option for changing passwords on remote Unix machines.

  1. Go to Administration and click through to Secret Templates.
  2. Select the Unix Account template that you want to change, and click the Edit button.
  3. On the Edit page, click the Configure Password Changing button.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Change the password type in the drop down list to "Unix Account (SSH)".
  6. Make sure the Machine, Username and Password drop downs are set correctly.
  7. Save your changes and you are finished.
