We do not allow hard deletes (actually removing the record) in Secret Server due to auditing requirements. This is an important feature to ensure that an audit trail is never destroyed.
The disabling of items can cause a lot of clutter however. Inactive users and groups are not shown by default in the user interface but there is a checkbox to show them if desired. This makes the user interface cleaner and less cluttered by unused items while still maintaining compliance requirements.
If you make a typo or spelling mistake when creating a user, then simply mark them as inactive and create a new user with the correct spelling.
