Installing Secret Server for BlackBerry
1) Download the zip file at the following URL (for .cod and .alx files)
2) Extract the SecretServer.cod and the SecretServer.alx files to a folder.
3) Download and install the BlackBerry Desktop Software located at the following URL:
4) Launch the BlackBerry Desktop Software and click Applications in the left column of the window.
5) Click the Import Files button in the upper right of the window.
6) Click the Browse button to point to the folder you placed the .alx and .cod files that were mentioned above. Select the secretserver.alx file and click the Open button.
7) Secret Server should be in the list. A "+" symbol should be visible in the button. Click the button.
8) Click Apply in the lower right corner of the application.
NOTE: Depending on the model of the phone, the Secret Server application may be placed in the Downloads folder.
Uninstalling Secret Server for BlackBerry
1) Logout of the Application in order to ensure all cached data is cleared.
2) Launch the RIM Desktop Manager and click Applications in the upper left of the window.
3) Find the Secret Server application and click the red X button under the Action column.
4) Click Apply in the lower right corner of the application.
Upgrading Secret Server for BlackBerry
1) Extract the SecretServer.cod and the SecretServer.alx files to a folder.
2) If you do not have the BlackBerry Desktop Software installed on your PC, download and install it at the following URL:
3) Launch the BlackBerry Desktop Software and click Applications in the left column of the window.
4) Click the Import Files button in the upper right of the window.
5) Click the Browse button to point to the folder you placed the
.alx and .cod files that were mentioned above. Select the
secretserver.alx file and click the Open button.
6) Secret Server should be in the list. A "+" symbol should be visible in the button. Click the button.
7) Click Apply in the lower right corner of the application.
